Contrary to popular belief, Gleneagles doesn’t derive its name from the Glen of Eagles but the Glen of Eglise (churches); taking its name from early French settlers. Gleneglise morphing into Gleneagles.



The story, although interesting didn’t capture the extreme climate shifts
of sun and heavy rain or the emotive qualities of the deep springs that lay well beneath the Scottish hills.

In an overcrowded marketplace two key decisions took place. Only market through the world’s finest hotels and restaurants. Create discreet, yet confident branding icon to compliment, not upstage the individual identities of its many environments.
